Issue/Introduction

How to disable the automatic creation of Fanout models in Spectrum during discovery.

Environment

Release: DXS NetOps Spectrum

Component: SPCOCK

Resolution

1. On the SS machine go to $SPECROOT/SS 
2. Open the .vnmrc file in a text editor. 
3. Add this line: 

create_fanout=false 

4. Save the file. 

5. Restart the SpectroSERVER. 

Then delete unwanted fanouts and they should not come back.

Additional Information

The .vnmrc setting doesn't stop the manual fanout creation. The vnmrc option supposed to avoid the fan-out creation during AutoDiscovery.
