Issue/Introduction

WAMUI/adminui unable to start with the following in server.log:

2019-02-19 16:25:45,986 WARN [ims.tmt.EnvironmentService] (main) * Failed to start environment: SiteMinder adminui is configured with an External Administrator Store.

adminui is configured with an External Administrator Store.

Cause

"LDAP: error code 49 - 80090308: LdapErr: DSID-0C090400, comment: AcceptSecurityContext error, data 52e, v1db1" means that the password for the Active Directory account used to log into and query the Active Directory is incorrect, and this was the cause of the problem - the password has been changed in Active Directory.

Resolution

To fix this we used smjndisetup: 

smjndisetup.bat --reset-password 

When started, and after adminui is stopped, is shows the default user which is the user that is already being used, press enter to select the default (unless you need to change the user as well) and enter the correct password for this user.
