What VMware ESX Server versions are supported to deploy PAM Appliance?

Issue/Introduction

PAM OVA can be deployed on many hypervisors and this article is to list which VMWARE hypervisor is supported in deploying the PAM OVA.

 

Environment

CA Privileged Access Manager 3.x, 4.x

Resolution

PAM 3.x OVA comes with VM Hardware version 7 which is supported on ESXi version 4 and above

PAM 4.x OVA comes with VM Hardware version 13 which is on ESXi version 6.5 and above

Deploying PAM OVA on other virtualization platforms like VMware Workstation can be done but it is not supported by Broadcom.
