Issue/Introduction

After going from a shared security file environment to an environment where each LPAR has its own security file, how do you synchronize the passwords so once a user changes the password on one LPAR, it will be updated on the security file on the other system(s)?

Resolution

You can use the CPF facility keep the passwords in sync. See Command Propagation Facility for more information.
