Issue/Introduction

Installing CA Common Service 15.0 through ESD pax.Z. Ran AW020RCB but it is failing with allocation errors for the component relfiles. Was wondering why only ONE segment of ARCHDEF on AW0F0G0/UNZIPJCL to download the SAMPJCL. In previous releases and other product installs there were many ARCHDEF statements to create many relfiles on DASD.

1. Am I supposed to have lots of ARCHDEF segments for all *.F* files on AW0F0G0/UNZIPJCL? Did I do something wrong or overlook to do something before I ran AW020RCB?
2. If the UNZIPJCL job is correct and only the SAMPJCL is going to be created, why am I getting all these allocation errors as shown here?

Resolution

1. The packaging has changed since the previous release. We no longer download ALL the individual component relfiles to DASD. This is why the UNZIPJCL job is much shorter and only downloads the SAMPJCL file. With this change, the RECEIVE job also changed to utilize FROMNTS on the RECEIVE statement.
2. The allocation problems were a result of an undefined UNIT= specification for the SMPTLIB DDDEF. This gets defined when the SMP/E CSI is allocated and initialized (install job AW010CSI) . Use the SMP/E ISPF dialogs to update the SMPTLIB DDDEF in the global zone or update via batch job using UCLIN.
