Installing CA Common Services (CCS) and one of the delivered components in the base package is the Java to z/OS (J2Z) Service (FMID=CFF6F00). The install requires the allocation of zFS filesystems, which is something not currently used in current environment.
Should the Java to z/OS Service (FMID: CFF6F00) be selected for installation?
It is recommended that the Java to z/OS Service (J2Z) be installed so that the individual services are installed and maintained for potential use by other CA Products. As CA Products introduce new features, it is possible that the newer features will utilize one or more of the J2Z services. Currently, the following services are delivered when CFF6F00 is installed.
CCS Apache Tomcat CCS Data Mover CCS Message Service CCS Data Collector Service CCS Java to z/OS Service
