Issue/Introduction

Cust asked us about details of enhancement PTF SO06597--as I explained
to him that the use of this PTF's capability can help on daily operations.

Environment

OS: z/OS.

Resolution

General information about SO06597 was sent to cust. Also asked him to
please open a new case with us if they need help using SO06597's
enhancements in the future.

It follows the synopsis of PTF SO06597--published on 21-Dec-18:

ENHANCEMENT DESCRIPTION:

Provide the ability for the Alert Exit to set a resource name that is used
as the alert object ID. This correlates the alert to the specified resource
name.

Provide a new field on the State Change Exits panel of a resource def-
inition - State Change Alert Threshold - which can be used to stop a-
lerts from the STATECHANGE parameter group being raised at the
individual resource level--based on the severity of the alert.

Provide a new destination type of CALLBACK in the $AM ALERTS pa-
rameter group Alert Forwarding Definitions. This will allow alerts to
be passed to a user-defined NCL procedure for processing.

of NetMaster Customizer group $AM ALERTS using 
destination type CALLBACK:
