Issue/Introduction

After changing the NEWPW Control Option minimun size setting from 7 to 8.

Can users that have 7 digits password keep it until the password expiration date?

Resolution

The NEWPW(MIN=) control option is only enforced for the user 

changing the password at signon time. 

The users' current passwords will stay the same, regardless of whether 

they are 8 characters or less. Those users with passwords less than 

8 characters will still be able to signon with their current password. 

The next time the user changes their password, the new minimum 

length of 8 will be enforced.
