Release: Component: COMDB2
The problem was caused by an incorrect DB2 subsystem version (SSIDVER) and migration mode (SSIDMODE) values for D2XA subsystem (which was giving the connection error) in the HGHLVL.CDBAPARM(SETUPxx). Whenever upgrading to a new DB2 release, migration mode, or function level on the DB2 subsystems, DB2 subsystem information needs to be updated in the SETUPxx global parmlib member. Here is the link to the R19 documentation for the same : https://docops.ca.com/ca-database-management-solutions-for-db2-for-z-os/19/en/installing/upgrade-to-new-db2-releases-modes-or-function-levels In this case, both the DB2 subsystems have identical DB2 subsystem version (SSIDVER) and migration mode (SSIDMODE) values in the SETUPxx global parmlib member (V11 and NFM respectively). D2UA subsystem which is on DB2 function level V12R1M100 doesn't give the error since this function level is equivalent to DB2V11 NFM. However, D2XA subsystem doesn't have correct DB2 subsystem version (SSIDVER) and migration mode (SSIDMODE) values in the SETUPxx global parmlib member. The correct values for D2XA should be V12 and NF(Y) for DB2 subsystem version (SSIDVER) and migration mode (SSIDMODE) values in the SETUPxx global parmlib member. Important! We recommend that you use the Setup option on the Post-Install Tailoring panels to edit these members. The online help that is provided from the SETUP parmlib panels provides detailed information about the supported DB2 version, mode, and function levels. Manual editing in hlq.CDBAPARM is not recommended.
