Issue/Introduction
After restarting services AND restarting the server, we are unable to add/remove/change user records. Per logs, it appears our database is starting in READ ONLY.
Booting Derby version The Apache Software Foundation - Apache Derby - xx.x.x.x - (1405108): instance yyyyy on database directory DevTest_Home//database/lisa.db in READ ONLY mode....
Environment
All supported DevTest environments.
Resolution
The user starting DevTest does not have permissions to modify the following file: DevTest_Home/database/lisa.db/db.lck
Either: 1. Have someone with the correct permissions start DevTest. 2. Delete this file and start DevTest. A new file will be created.
Note: Derby is not a supported database for DevTest. Derby is used to confirm the DevTest install and debugging.
