When using SSO with the Spectrum Jasper integration why do we see error
HTTP Status 500 - org.springframework.security.authentication.AuthenticationServiceException: Error during synchronization

Resolution

This error can be seen when using a naming convention for user names that include a “.” Between the first name and last name of users. Examples would be:
John.Smith
Or
Name.Surname
Prior to Jasper 6.4.2 it is not supported to use a “.” In the user name
Jasper 6.4.2 does support the use of a user name with “.”
