CA Continuous Delivery Director version 6.8 includes a new feature named Application-Based Access Control. The documentation states: By default, all users and groups can view and access all applications in releases, phases, and tasks.
After upgrading from previous versions of CDD to 6.8 we have seen some (not all) environments where users with designer and/or release engineer roles assigned are unable to see applications. There are no authorized users or groups set for these applications so like the description reads it should be available for all users.
This was confirmed to be a defect - one that did not always occur.
CA Continuous Delivery version 6.8
This problem was fixed in version CDD 6.9. Please upgrade.
