Unable to run EPAgent plug-in on APM Infrastructure Agent

Issue/Introduction

We have installed the APM Infrastructure agent on our application server and upon that deployed the EP agent sample plugins but these are failing and we get the following format errors in thelog file:

[ERROR] [IntroscopeAgent.EPAgent HTTP] [ stderr ] Can't open perl script "C:\apm": No such file or directory

Environment

• DX APM IA 10.x
• DX APM IA SaaS

Cause

The expansion of {ApmExtensionHome} is not able to handle spaces in the path - the APM IA  in this case was installed in "C:\apm ia"
 

Resolution

The APM IA must be installed in a location that does not contain spaces in the full path - a defect has been raised for this restriction to be addressed

No other workarounds have been identified - enclosing the path in quotes does not help
