We have installed the TDM TDoD Service in a non-default location and the Service fails to start. The service is installed at E:\Application Software\CA Software\TDoD, and we have verified the .Net Framework 3.5 and .Net Framework 4.5 are both installed on the C: drive.
When attempting to run the TDoD service we see the following: Exception: Unable to find the requested .Net Framework Data Provider.
Does TDoD have to be installed on the C: drive?
Release: Component: TDMTDD
No, the TDoD service done not have to be installed in the default location (C:\). You can install the service in any location you wish. The cause appears to be due to missing dependencies which are not clearly documented for the TDoD service.
The TDoD service requires the .Net framework, which is installed, however we also require the "ODP4.Net Deployer" and the "ODP4.Net 32 bit Deployer" to be installed. You should have seen these two application during the prerequisite software check during the installation. Please ensure they have been installed properly.
