Issue/Introduction

We are seeing the below error for many file transfers.

 XCOMU0507E Unable to rename temporary file. 

Environment

XCOM™ Data Transport® for Linux PC

Cause

Some of the causes of the message can be:

  • permissions are not appropriate for the destination of the file
  • not enough resources on disk

Resolution

Issues was with the folder resources, in this case their was a limit on the folder and after deleting several files the problem was resolved.

Additional Information

If the cause is not related to permission or resources, then we will require that you provide us a XCOM trace. How the trace is turned on will depend from where the transfer is initiated.
