SMF record for DMSAR auto-restore request

Issue/Introduction

The Auto-restore Manager (DMSAR) writes into the joblog which data set will be restored for which requestor. 

Does the DMSAR also write a corresponding SMF record? If yes, which one? 

The customer would need to find out via the SMF records which data set has been restored for whom.

Does the Auto-restore Manager (DMSAR) write SMF records ?

Resolution

The Auto-restore Manager (DMSAR) does not directly write SMF records. 

If the customer needs a user type SMF record, the Auto-Restore Screening Exit (ARESPREX) could be used.
