Upgrade of View Database to 12.2 and Access to JOB Mode.

Issue/Introduction

Unable to use the new JOB mode option after upgrade to View 12.2. When issuing a 'DEF USER' command within View, only the AEESS modes are displayed (ALL, EXPO, EXP, SARO, SAR) and not the JOB mode.

The SARINIT parms were set to DEFMODE=YNNNNY and JOBMODE=YES. When trying to access MODE JOB, the user receives an "Unauthorized Access" message.

View - Releases 12.2 and Higher

Cause

In the View 12.2, which introduced the use of JOB Mode, were PTFs RO84335 and RO84337, which are what add JOB mode option to the panel.

The ++HOLDDOC instructions in PTF RO84335, indicate that, following its implementation, that there needs to be a run of SARDBASE OLOAD and BLOAD.

Resolution

By running the OLOAD and BLOAD jobs after upgrade, the database panels were made available for the use of JOB mode.
