Issue/Introduction

Spectrum Report Manager User Defined Attribute Polling not populating reporting database.

After creating a devicemodel-polling.xml file in the $SPECROOT/tomcat/webapps/spectrum/WEB-INF/repmgr/config directory as described in the "Configure User-Defined Device Attribute Polling" section of the documentation located athttps://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/spectrum/10-2/installing-and-upgrading/install-report-manager/maintenance-and-troubleshooting/configure-user-defined-device-attribute-polling.html, the reporting database is not updated with all of the models that meet the criteria in the devicemodel-polling.xml file

Cause

SRM will not poll the device if the contact status is down. SRM only polls the devices when their contact status is up.

Resolution

None as this is functioning as designed.
