"ORA-00600 internal error code" during upgrade, applying PMO, or other actions in Clarity

Issue/Introduction

This error may be noticed as part of the following symptoms:

• During a Clarity upgrade / install
• When the PMO Accelerator fails
• When running jobs this error is seen in logs
• When using Clarity

The error message is similar to:

• The arguments after ORA-00600 can be different (Example, you may see: malformed table list], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [])
• For the PMO install, one file that may be referenced as part of the error is: Error in cop_invTimesheetReview_out.xml file

Database: Oracle

Cause

This is an issue with Oracle, and not with the Clarity product

All ORA-00600 errors would indicate an Oracle database problem, usually resolved by applying an Oracle patch

Resolution

• Work with your DBA to open an issue with Oracle Support to get the root cause and the problem fixed.
• The error ORA-00600 is usually fixed by applying an Oracle patch.
