"ORA-00600 internal error code" during Clarity PPM upgrade, applying PMO, in logs when running jobs or using Clarity PPM

Issue/Introduction

This error may be noticed as part of the following symptoms:
  • During Clarity PPM Upgrade / Install
  • PMO Accelerator fails
  • When running jobs this error is seen in logs
  • When using Clarity PPM
Error message similar to:

 Notes:
  • The arguments after ORA-00600  can be different (Example, you may see: malformed table list], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [], [])
  • For the PMO install, one file that may be referenced as part of the error is: Error in cop_invTimesheetReview_out.xml file

Cause

  • This is an issue with Oracle, and not with Clarity data.
  • All ORA-00600 errors would indicate a database problem.

Resolution

  • On Premise Customers:
    • Work with the DBA to open an issue with Oracle support to get the root cause and fix the problem.
    • The error ORA-00600 is usually fixed by applying an Oracle patch.
