Issue/Introduction

Running normal daily archives and now we receive the following error condition.
 
ABENDU0650 - 
* SMR611I PLRDALOL R/C = 02100000 - DSN = SYSOEM.SYSLOG.STRT.SMR18283 
SMR665I ERROR ALLOCATING DAILY FILE TO BE ARCHIVED 
SMR650W NO AUTOMATIC ARCHIVAL WILL BE PERFORMED TODAY 

Caplarch - SMR18283 file missing, that it wants to start archiving with.

Why is this happening?

Environment

z/OS any level
SMR any level

Resolution

This problem is typically caused by an entry in Master and Altern files with no corresponding physical file.

It sounds as though you have the opposite,and adding the file to the Master and Altern files would be the first thing to try.
 
This should resolve the issue.
