Issue/Introduction

When attempting to install a CCA Agent remotely on Windows Servers, an Error: CCA-RI-1405: Remote Agent Install Failed on Server "servername". Connecting to remote service... Ok Remote command returned -1(0xFFFFFFFF

Cause

This is due to McAfee running on those target machines
McAfee sees the install process (installcmdsvc.exe) (located in System32) to be a High Risk Process

Environment

Release:
Component: CAACM

Resolution

If McAfee are installed on the target machines, there are 3 scenarios that will allow the agents to be installed remotely

1. Fully Disable McAfee service on the target machines just for the installation time period, then you can resume McAfree as it won't effect any other agent operation)

2. Add a rule\policy to McAfee to omit the "installcmdsvc.exe" (located in the System32 directory) from being declared as a High risk Process (add it to a Whiitelist)

3. Manually copy the agents over to each target machine and install locally.  This may not be feasible for large amounts of target machines)
