What impact does the CA IDMS GSISVCX have on performance?

Issue/Introduction

When the CA IDMS Tools are installed, they include an extension module GSISVCX which updates the SVC. This module updates one of our control blocks, the ERE extension. 

If the SVC is updated to include the Tools extension module GSISVCX, does the activity of GSISVCX updating the ERE use much CPU?

Resolution

The tools SVC exit GSISVCX simply moves info from one memory location to another. This activity of GSISVCX updating the ERE will have insignificant CPU overhead.
