Issue/Introduction

Clarity PPM throws ORA-04036: PGA memory used by the instance exceeds PGA_AGGREGATE_LIMIT in the application logs or when running Jaspersoft reports
in Clarity logs or Jaspersoft reports.

Environment

Release: Clarity with Oracle, all supported releases

Resolution

• This is a database error.
• DBA should review the database configuration and see if there is a need to increase the PGA_AGGREGATE_LIMIT.
• If the limit is big enough, then DBA should look for a query that takes on the PGA usage. If they find one, they should tune the execution plan.
