Issue/Introduction
In the database Extractor online application, DBX, the following error is seen: DBX0040E JCL MEMBER NAME DOES NOT EXIST - REENTER JCL MEMBER NAME.
Environment
Release: All supported releases.
Component: IDMS Extractor.
Cause
This is happening because the default MODEL JCLs were not loaded during the install.
Resolution
Sample JCL to load the default MODEL JCL decks is in the USVUJCL member in install library .CAGJSRC. This install step is documented here: Step 5. Install Default JCL.
Note, this section indicates that "Before running USVUJCL (IDMS Extractor), you must create three sequential datasets from the members USVEXEC, USVPSPC, and USVPJCL." This is not the case, the USVUJCL job can be run by pointing the DDNAMEs directly at the PDS members.
