Issue/Introduction

From v11 DB2 provides the ability to change the Relative Byte Address (RBA) from 6 bytes to 10 bytes. Will that cause any negative impact on the CA Gen Host Encyclopedia (HE) database?

Environment

CA Gen Host Encyclopedia (HE) 8.x

Resolution

The CA Gen Host Encyclopedia has not been tested under DB2 running with an RBA of 10 bytes and it is therefore not supported. So although the change may not cause any negative impact if it is implemented then it would be at own risk.
