Why is Datacom & Spool Java Transformers in the Product List for View/Deliver?
View/Deliver uses the Health Checker Common Service (HCCS) for their Health Checks. These Health Checks are done only if the HCCS functionality is configured. This is the reason why Common Services is in the View/Deliver product list.
There is no direct connection between View/Deliver and Datacom/AD. Datacom/AD is used by Common Services. This is the reason why Datacom/AD is in the View/Deliver product list. If Datacom/AD is installed for other Broadcom products, then installing it for View/Deliver is not necessary.
DRAS, packaged with View, has an option to use the Spool JAVA transformers. This is the reason why the Java transformers are in the View/Deliver product list. If there is no use for the Java portion of Spool, the installing of it to View/Deliver is not necessary.
Datacom/AD and the Spool Java Transformers are separate install packages, as opposed to having their FMIDs in the same package as View/Deliver. If they were packaged as FMIDs in View/Deliver, this would then require them to be installed to the same SMP/E zone.
It is the client's choice in deciding whether they want to install those elements into the same SMP/E zones with View or Deliver.
