What is the purpose of message NFSI02 SPECIFY INITIALIZATION PARAMETER PATRACENMI=YES TO ENABLE THE USE OF THE IBM REAL-TIME TCP/IP TRACE NMIappearing during start of SOLVESSI?

NetMaster for TCP/IP on z/OS 2.1 or greater

Resolution

When starting SOLVESSI on a z/OS system you might see message

 

NFSI02 SPECIFY INITIALIZATION PARAMETER PATRACENMI=YES TO ENABLE THE USE OF THE IBM REAL-TIME TCP/IP TRACE NMI

 

This message appears only when running Netmaster on z/OS 2.1 or greater. It does not indicate an error but informs you that you may use the IBM real-time application-controlled TCP/IP trace network management interface (Trace NMI) to collect packets for IBM stacks.
