Resolution
Any application that supports and uses SSL to establish a secure connection has some type of parm file or configuration file where you tell the application that a SAF keyring is being used and its name.
Secure FTP has a FTPDATA member which is the configuration file specific to Secure FTP.
The keyring name is specified KEYRING keyword in the FTPDATA member.
KEYRING=userid/keyring
Once the KEYRING keyword is specified, FTP will make digital certificate r_datalib calls. The security system running on the system (TSS, ACF2 or RACF) will respond to the r_datalib calls.
