Issue/Introduction

The LPAR in question was IPLed last evening. I started Endevor WSTOMSTC as a batch job and it immediately failed with RC=0100. 
  
JVMJZBL2008E Could not find or load class: org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap
JVMJZBL2007E Stack trace follows:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org.apache.juli.logging.LogFactory
 	at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.<clinit>(Bootstrap.java:52)
Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: org.apache.juli.logging.LogFactory

Resolution

tomcat-juli.jar does not exist at $CATALINA_BASE/bin

Endevor ZFS file system mount point was lost due to the IPL,  issue resolved after site remount the ZFS file system and restart the Tomcat.
