Issue/Introduction

The message DC329019 V10 T22 Resynchronization completed successfully was not written to the log at startup. Why would this message be missing at startup?

Environment

Release: All supported releases
Component: IDMS/DB

Resolution

The DC329019 message can be received when there is a DDS connection between two CVs and those CVs have communicated successfully with each other at some point.

If not using DDS distributed transactions the  DC329019 message can also be received when NODE statements have been defined in the SYSGEN for UCF connections between  IDMS/DC systems.

Enter into 19.0 CV and enter command:

DCMT D DIST RM

  • There would be an entry for either a DSI_CLI or SRV if the CVs have connected via your DDS line and have previously been used.
  •  If the DCMT D DIST RM at startup shows no entries, then DC329019 message will not be displayed.
  • In the CV, there were no DDC329019 messages until one CV connected to another via the dds vtam line.

The command DCMT D DIST RM shows this on the CV:

RM Name Status Startup time (UTC) PndResync

TECHDC50::DSI_CLI Open 2016-11-30-18.46.06.107469 0

TECHDC50::DSI_SRV Open 2016-11-30-18.46.06.107469 0

  • The same command on TECHDC50 CV of (19.0) shows this:

RM Name Status Startup time (UTC) PndResync

<your-idms-cv-name>::DSI_CLI Open 2016-11-30-18.46.12.855827 0

<your-idms-cv-name>::DSI_SRV Open 2016-11-30-18.46.12.855827 0

  • If these DIST RM connections are deleted from the TECHDC50 CV via a commands like this:

DCMT V DIST RM '<your-idms-cv-name>::DSI_CLI '

and

DCMT V DIST RM '<your-idms-cv-name>::DSI_SRV'

Shutdown and restart the CV, then no DC329019 messages appear until a request from one CV to the other CV thru DDS. Then DCMT D DIST RM will show the SRV or CLI entries again.

ntries again.
