when trying to expand a Librarian -inc member I am getting the following: C1X0232E - STMT 1 INVALID-NON-JCL CARD ENCOUNTERED PRIOR TO FIRST STEP.

QUESTION:

After uprading Endevor I now get the following messages when trying to expand a Librarian include member:

    C1X0232E - STMT 1 INVALID-NON-JCL CARD ENCOUNTERED PRIOR TO FIRST STEP

Environment

Running Endevor V18.0.7 with the Librarian interface using pds rather then Librarian files.

Resolution

ANSWER:

This is an indication that Librarian was not turned on in the C1DEFLTS table.

There are three parms that need to be modified to get the -INC to work:

LIBENV=LB,                  LIBRARIAN(LB), PANVALET (PV)                               X

LIBENVP=N,                  LIBRARIAN/PANVALET OPTION                                  X

LIBRPGM=DUMMY,              LIBRARIAN BATCH PROGRAM NAME                               X

 

Additional Information

If you are using the Librarian interface then LIBENVP will bet set to Y and LIBRPGM is set to AFOLIBR.

The table then must be reassembled and linked.  If the C1DEFLTS table is linklisted the refresh the linklist.
