Where to store the ca.olf file containing the License Key for XCOM for Windows?

Resolution

XCOM for Windows is delivered as a 32bit- and a 64bit-Version. The Directory where the ca.olf-Licensekey is stored, is referenced in the Registry:

For 32 Bit, refer to Registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ComputerAssociates\License

For 64 Bit, refer to Registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\License

 

Possible values are:

c:\CA_LIC\

c:\Program Files (86)\CA\SharedComponents (for 32bit)

c:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents (for 64bit)
