Issue/Introduction

How to save and ensure SNMPv3 Profile prior to migration (export function to readable data). Background is, that the SNMP v3 profile data are "exportable" by ModelingGateway (MGW) into one data-set (covering all v3 profile info) which is not readable (binary encrypted data).

Environment

This applies to all CA Spectrum OS platforms and all releases

Resolution

Using MGW to "export_all" and then to "import_all" is the only "automated option".
The only current "workaround" is to create via OC-Console a screenshot per single V3 profile entry.
This is at "production level" no solution i.e. when having more than 100 v3 Profiles. Also, this does not allow to run a check per batch-job to validate the settings.

This Requested for an SNMPv3 Profile export function to "plain text" export is targeted for CA Spectrum R10.4.

To export only the SNMPv3 Profiles, set export_spectrum_settings parameter to true in the $SPECROOT/SS-Tools/.modelinggatewayresource.xml file.
