Issue/Introduction

This document describes the basic steps to obtain and install an Xtraction License

Environment

Xtraction Reporting Software
All Supported Windows Operating Systems

Resolution

Obtaining a License:

Please contact Broadcom Support to request a Xtraction license. 

Please provide the following information:

  • Xtraction version (i.e. Xtraction 2023.3

        Please do not ask for "the latest version".

  • OS of the server where Xtraction is installed (i.e. Windows 2019)
  • Hostname of the server where Xtraction installed.  Ensure that the server host name provided matches exactly the host name where Xtraction is installed.

Installing the new License:

1. Save the zipped file received from Broadcom Customer care to the Xtraction server and unzip the license files 
2. Replace the appropriate xtraction.lic file in the following Xtraction installation folder: Program Files\Hagrid Software\Xtraction\Data\Configuration 
3. Replace the appropriate datamodeleditor.lic file in the following Xtraction installation folder: Program Files\Hagrid Software\Xtraction\Tools 
4. Restart the Windows IIS service.
