Fast Unload for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

A Fast Unload for Db2 for z/OS (PFU) PART-INDEPENDENCE YES execution is leaving the tablespace partition in RO status if a failure occurs.
What is the best method to reset the partition to RW status?

Resolution

The -TERM CA UTIL(utilid) DB2 Command Processor command only deletes the restart entries.  This command will not affect the object status.

Recommendation is to utilize the RESTART(TERM) option within the PFU utility execution.
Otherwise must issue both the -TERM CA UTIL(utilid) and -START DATABASE commands to delete the utility restart entries and reset the partition back to RW status.
