Issue/Introduction

Archive Manager is shown as down in the OneClick Connection dialog even though the Archive Manager process is up and running

Environment

This applies to all CA Spectrum releases

Cause

Under very rare conditions, the Archive Manager startup is fine and runs stable but the CORBA resource object CsCEventDomain is not created. 

This can be verified by doing the following:

1. Log into the SpectroSERVER system as the user that owns the Spectrum installation

2. If on Windows, start a bash shell by running "bash -login"

3. cd to the $SPECROOT/bin/VBNS directory and enter the following command where <HOST> is the hostname of the system to display the CORBA resource objects:

./nsutil list <HOST>

Look for an entry named "CsCEventDomain". If not present, this is the problem.

Resolution

Shutdown ALL Spectrum processes and then restart.

If the problem persists, please open a case with Spectrum Support.
