Does Report Facility (PRF) need a Xmanager started task?
In which cases Report Facility needs a Xmanager started task.

Resolution

It depends on how you start and work with Report Facility.
 
TSO: If Report Facility is started as an option of 'Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS' main menu the Xmanager started task is needed as there
are the Value Pack products. However if Report Facility is started with a CLIST then Xmanager started task is not needed.

CICS and IMS: Xmanager started task is not needed.

It is recommended to work with Report Facility as an option of 'Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS' main menu so you will have the Value Pack products available.
