How to bypass the JOB and notify the user when it doesn't run at specific time on CA Workload Automation ESP Edition?

Environment

CA Workload Automation ESP Edition Z/OS

Resolution

Here is an example to use ABANDON SUBMISSION:

- JOB A will be bypassed if it's not submitted at 9PM; and NOTIFY will work and send Email to the predefined Email address in mailbox ABANDON.

- Then JOB B will run.

JOB A

NOTIFY ABANDONSUBMISSION MAILBOX(ABANDON)

ABANDON SUBMISSION 9PM

RUN TODAY

REL B

ENDJOB

JOB B

RUN TODAY

ENDJOB

Additional Information

See "MAILBOX: Set up mailboxes" on "Installation and Configuration Guide" on how to set up mailbox ABANDON.
