The error:

*ICH409I 483-050 ABEND DURING RACINIT PROCESSING

The error message is saying: 
" While RACF® was processing a RACINIT request, the RACF manager returned an incorrect return code. " 

In other words, RACF is returning a return code to IDMS that IDMS does not recognize and cannot handle it.

Cause

The reason for the abends in IDMS is that the RACF dataset is available in read-only mode when it should be shared;
The MVS team found that the problem on the SYSPLEX: MEMBER was because it had SYSPLEX COMMUNICATIONS ENABLED & IN READ-ONLY MODE. 

 

Resolution

To solve that the customer IPL'd and after that they the SYSPLEX member was set to SYSPLEX COMMUNICATIONS ENABLED & IN DATA SHARING MODE.
