How to get Download/Upload Volume per client under Cisco Light Weight Access Point Protocol

Issue/Introduction

You can configure minor, major and critical thresholds from the OneClick Explorer View > Wireless Device/ Controller level > Information Tab> Cisco Light Weight Access Point Protocol > Thresholds to generate alarms related to WLC/ AP/ Clients.

 

How do we get the values of Download Volume Per Client (MB) and Upload Volume Per Client (MB) to determine if they have reached the thresholds? And how often do we get these values?

Environment

Spectrum 9.x, Spectrum 10.x

Resolution

These are the two OIDs that Spectrum polls from the device to determine if upload/download volume has exceeded the threshold. Spectrum polls the value of these two OIDs in terms of the poll interval.

 

Download Volume Per Client (MB): bsnMobileStationBytesSent - 1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.2.1.6.1.3 

 

Upload Volume Per Client (MB): bsnMobileStationBytesReceived - 1.3.6.1.4.1.14179.2.1.6.1.2
