Issue/Introduction

We are running IDMS V19.0 and soon will be upgrading to a new CICS TS version/release.

Do any of the CICS/IDMS interface modules IDMSINTC, IDMSINTL or UCFCICS need to be re-assembled and linked?

What about the stub modules IDMSCINT and IDMSCINL?

Environment

Release: 19.0

Resolution

The IDMS CICS interface modules and stub modules do NOT need to be recreated when upgrading a new release of CICS TS.
Since 18.0 these interfaces have very little executable code in them and are basically a table of parameter values and a "stub" module that transfers control to the actual processing modules.
We did recommended reassembling these interface modules when upgrading CICS, prior to 18.0 but at that time there was CICS-specific code in the interface modules.
