Following CA DB2 tools r19 base install; CDBACICS, CDBAFORM, CDBAIMS, and CDBASKL1 datasets have no members.

Issue/Introduction

Several CA Database Management Solutions for DB2 for z/OS r19 datasets are empty following the base install which were not empty with previous release:

hlq.CDBACICS
hlq.CDBAFORM
hlq.CDBAIMS
hlq.CDBASKL1

Is it expected that the above datasets would be empty?

Resolution

hlq.CDBACICS and hlq.CDBAFORM are used by FMID CPRFJ01 - CA Report Facility for CICS. 

hlq.CDBAIMS is used by FMID CPRFJ02 - CA Report Facility for IMS. 

The above FMIDs are commented out during the Native PAX install.  Unless the comments are manually removed during the RECEIVE, APPLY, and ACCEPT processing, it would be expected for these datasets to be empty in this scenario. 

The hlq.CDBASKL1 is the maintenance bind dataset and would be populated during maintenance PTF installation.
