I am only running one part of the MIM product (i.e. MIA or MII).
Do I only need to apply fixes for that component?
When downloading fixes from support online, the following items are available for the MIM product in the Select a Component dropdown:
No matter what part of the product you are running, fixes for the MIM component must be included as this is where the base drivers and functionality reside that affect all areas of the product.
Beyond that, you also need to include the component for the product area(s) you are using.
So if you are running MIA only, you would select the MIA and MIM components.
If you are running MII only, you would select MII and MIM.
For MIC only, you would select MIC and MIM.
If you are not sure what parts of the product are in use, it is never incorrect to apply maintenance for all MIM components - MIA, MIC, MII and MIM; you will just have a larger number of fixes to process.
