Issue/Introduction

What files should be backed up to maintain consistency in case of disaster recovery for Detector for Db2 for z/OS (PDT) and
Subsystem Analyzer for Db2 for z/OS (PSA)?

Resolution

If you choose to backup your Detector data both items below should be included to ensure consistency:

1) PDT Control File
2) 3 Datastore History files

You may also want to backup your Collection Profile. That way, if a system failure occurs and you have to use your backup files,
you will ensure that you are collecting data using the same settings as before.

If you run Subsystem Analyzer collections and want to back up your data both items below should be included to ensure consistency:

1) PSA Control File
2) 2 Datastore History files

None of the files above are contained in the PTDB database.
