C1BM3000 PRINT ELEMENT report missing data

Issue/Introduction

Running a CIGFLOAD utility to refresh the FASTLIST repository and getting these errors: 

+CIGFLD1J-MAIN8000: FAILURE TO PARSE REPORT 
FST1370E FAILURE TO PARSE ENDEVOR REPORTS (DDNAME=CIGINRPT)  

 

Environment

Release:  All supported Release 

Cause

The PRINT ELEMENT with OPTION MASTER is returning an incomplete report. 

The ones having an issue do not have the ELEMENT line following the USERID line:

Resolution

There are 3 options: 

1) When running the CIG FastList refresh, break the job into 2 jobs.

• Job 1 runs the Endevor step to create the PRINT ELEMENT reports in a permanent file. 
• Update the PRINT ELEMENT report to add the missing ELEMENT line where needed.
• Job 2 runs the CIGFLOD3 utility, inputting the modified PRINT ELEMENT reports. 

2) Transfer the incomplete elements to the From Location listed in the FROM LOCATION and Transfer them back again. Basically rebuild the MCF records. 
This is a much higher risk option compared to Option 1. 

3) Delete the elements if they are no longer needed.   

 

NOTE:  This error was also generated while running FastLIST with Endevor V19.0 with elements that had valid "FROM ENDEVOR LOCATION" data.  It appears that FastLIST is currently not supported nor compatible with Endevor V19.0
