Issue/Introduction

Users may get the AHD04043 error message on attempt to login to Service Desk.

Why do users get the 'AHD04043:The user name or password you entered is not correct.' message on attempt to login to ServiceDesk?

Environment

CA Service Desk - 17.x

Resolution

Open the stdlog, and you may notice the following line prior to the AHD04043 error message:

"bopauth_nxd 2236 SIGNIFICANT bopauthobj.c 528 Cannot logon user 'ServiceDesk' (An attempt was made to logon, but the network logon service was not started.'

To resolve the issue, start the Windows 'Netlogon' service
