Issue/Introduction

The customer is working with the CA Cleanup product and is wondering when the LMP Key for the product is actually checked.

When is the LMP Key actually checked?

Environment

  • z/OS 2.x
  • CA Common Services r14.1

Resolution

According to CA Common Services Level 2:

'CAS9 lays down the infrastructure for license checks, it has nothing to do with how products function in relationship to license checks. This is a product question, not a CCS question.'

Additional Information

Note the following statement in the CA Common Services DocOps wiki section entitled How CA LMP Works:  'During the operation of each CA solution, the CA LMP enforcement software is invoked periodically'.
