Issue/Introduction

What are the changes and requirements to install RA Web Service 4 on Applications Manager?

Resolution

The installation or upgrade of RA Web Service 4 is similar to all other installation or upgrade to RA components using the Rapid Automation Loader Tool within Applications Manager's Java Web Client.

However, there are some changes and requirements:

• RA Web Service 4 is built on a new architecture that will require re-creating Web Service Jobs if upgrading from RA Web Service version 2 or 3
• RA Web Service 4 requires Applications Manager version 9.3 as a minimum requirement.
• RA Web Service 4 is now split into 2 separate Agents; a REST and SOAP Agent. Below are example names for the installation media:
  
  • RA.Web.Service.REST_RA.Web.Service.REST.Solution.NoWeb_4_4_1+build.1187.zip
  • RA.Web.Service.SOAP_RA.Web.Service.SOAP.Solution.NoWeb_4_4_1+build.251.zip
