What is the best method for updating lots of User ID's?

Issue/Introduction

I needed to update lots of User ID's by adding a "SHARE" CP directory statement. They did not have one before.

I can't find a "VMSECURE ADDSHARE" command. Is there a command for doing this?

 

In a more general sense, what is the best way to update a large number of User ID's if there is no specific VM:Secure command available for doing the task?

There is no VM:Secure command to do this.

However, the best way to deal with items in the directory that will be the same among many, is to put them in an included PROFILE.

That way, all changes to the PROFILE will be given to all users that include that profile in one fell swoop. Of course, users logged on when a change is made will need to log off and log back on to take advantage of any directory changes.
